AMP First Time Setup

Welcome to

Please click Next >> to continue setup.

AMP Licence

Please enter the AMP licence key you'd like AMP to use.

If you own more than one licence key it is recommended you add the largest first. Additional licences may be added later.

You may continue setup without a licence key, but you will need to re-run this setup to activate the licence specific features or to create instances. Search for "Default Auth Server" at the top right and click the "Re-run Setup" button

Operation Mode

These operation modes determine how AMP will behave. Controller/Target setups are for larger deployment with multiple machines that will be running AMP installations. If you're unsure what mode you need, pick Standalone (Default).

For AMP installations on a single host/machine:

For AMP installations across multiple separate hosts/machines: (For advanced users)

AMP Professional Edition or above is required to use multi-server deployments.

Controller Details

Please enter the details for the ADS Controller that this target should use for authentication and management.

Before continuing, please place your AMP controller into Pairing mode by clicking the hubPair New Target button in the top right corner of your controller. This will allow you to add this target to that specific controller. The target and controller must be able to directly communicate with each other.

Friendly Name

The name that will show in the controller for this target.

ADS Controller URL

The URL of your AMP controller instance.

Secure Logins

Authenticate with your mobile device, token, fingerprint, or any other Webauthn/Passkeys compatible security method.

AMP supports Webauthn and Passkeys, which allows you to login securely using one of many different options including your mobile device, biometrics, a security token, and many other methods. It's faster, more convenient, and more secure than traditional password based logins.

Webauthn is built right into your browser. There's no need to sign up to any third party service and there's no software or browser extensions to install. When you click Setup, your browser will show you a list of available options.

I don't want extra security

Standard username and password only. 2FA or secure devices can be added later.

Finished!

Once restarted this instance will be ready for use.

Unsupported Environment

You are currently running AMPs core inside a Docker container using an unofficial image built by a third-party.

Docker has a number of limitations that make it unsuitable for this application:

  • Docker cannot expose new ports without a full shutdown - including every server running in the same container.
  • It will prevent AMP from being able to manage the system firewall and opening ports for game servers automatically.
  • You will not be able to securely isolate individual game servers from each other.

If you are using an appliance operating system such as TrueNAS, OpenMediaVault or UnRAID - we recommend that you create a normal Linux virtual machine and install AMP inside it using the official script.

Otherwise, the recommended method of using Docker with AMP is to install AMP on the host itself, and allow AMP to deploy individual instances in their own containers. AMP has minimal dependencies, and will not bloat the host environment with unnecessary pacakges.

By using a third-party container, CubeCoders will not provide any support for this installation.

We strongly recommend that users only use the official installation script.
